Ingredients
Dough:
2 cans of pizza dough or your favorite pizza dough recipe (you will need two dough rolls)
1/2 cup pizza tomato sauce
Stuffing:
1 pound ground beef
1 teaspoon table salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
3/4 cup tomato paste
4 oz sliced canned mushrooms (optional)
Toppings:
2 cups mozzarella cheese
1 cup cheddar cheese
1 sliced tomato
Pepperoni (to taste)
1/2 cup cooked, chopped ham or bacon
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the stuffing by combining ground beef, salt, black pepper, chopped onion, dried Italian seasoning, and tomato paste. Mix well.
Form the mixture into a large hamburger patty, approximately 9 inches in diameter and 1 inch high.
Cook the patty in a skillet until it is cooked through but still juicy, ensuring it is not dry.
Grease a 9- or 10-inch pie pan and spread one of the pizza dough rolls evenly to form the crust.
Place the cooked hamburger patty on the crust and top it with cheddar cheese.
Roll out the second pizza dough and cover the hamburger patty, sealing the edges.
Spread the pizza tomato sauce over the top crust, then add the mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the crust is lightly browned.
Sprinkle the cooked pie with bacon.
Serve immediately. Enjoy!
