recipe for making steak and baked potatoes in an air fryer:
Ingredients:
For the Steak:
2 steaks (ribeye, sirloin, or your choice)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Potatoes:
2 medium-sized russet potatoes
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: sour cream, chives, shredded cheese, or butter for toppings
Instructions:
- Prepare the Potatoes:
- Wash the potatoes and pat them dry.
- Poke several holes with a fork in each potato for ventilation.
- Rub each potato with olive oil and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket and cook at 400°F (200°C) for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through. (Start the potatoes before the steak since they take longer to cook.)
- Prepare the Steak:
- While the potatoes cook, pat the steaks dry with a paper towel.
- Rub olive oil on both sides of the steaks.
- Mix the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a small bowl, then season the steaks evenly on both sides.
- Cook the Steak:
- Once the potatoes have been cooking for about 20 minutes, add the seasoned steaks to the air fryer basket beside or on top of the potatoes (depending on space).
- Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 8-12 minutes, flipping the steaks halfway through:
8 minutes for medium-rare
10 minutes for medium
12 minutes for medium-well (Adjust based on your air fryer and steak thickness.)
- Rest and Serve:
- Remove the steaks and let them rest for 5 minutes to retain their juices.
- Check the potatoes for doneness by inserting a knife or fork; they should be tender inside. If not, cook for an additional 5-10 minutes.
- Serve the steak with baked potatoes and your favorite toppings.
Enjoy your delicious steak and baked potatoes!
