Homemade Baklava Rolls Recipe.

Ingredients:

– 1 package phyllo dough
– 1 cup melted butter
– 2 cups mixed nuts (walnuts, pistachios, almonds), finely chopped
– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 1/2 cup sugar
– 1 cup honey
– 1/2 cup water
– 1/2 cup sugar
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brush each phyllo sheet with melted butter and layer 3-4 sheets together.
  3. In a bowl, mix the finely chopped nuts, ground cinnamon, and 1/2 cup sugar. Spread this mixture evenly over the layered phyllo sheets.
  4. Roll the phyllo tightly into logs and place them in a baking dish.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown.
  6. While the baklava rolls are baking, prepare the syrup by combining honey, water, 1/2 cup sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice in a saucepan. Simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes.
  7. Once the baklava rolls are done baking, pour the hot syrup over them.
  8. Let the baklava rolls soak in the syrup before serving.
