Easy Shrimp and Steak Tacos Recipe – Quick Dinner Idea Packed with Flavor

Ingredients:

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 lb steak (flank or sirloin), thinly sliced

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp chili powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp ground cumin

Salt and black pepper to taste

8 small taco shells

1 cup shredded lettuce

1/2 cup diced tomatoes

1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

1 lime, cut into wedges

1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

1 tbsp hot sauce (optional)


Instructions:

  1. Season the shrimp and steak:
    In a bowl, mix chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Coat the shrimp and steak slices evenly in the spice mix.
  2. Cook the shrimp:
    Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until fully cooked and pink. Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook the steak:
    In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Sear the steak slices for 4–5 minutes or until cooked to your liking.
  4. Assemble the tacos:
    Warm the taco shells. Fill each one with shrimp and steak, then top with lettuce, tomatoes, cilantro, and a squeeze of fresh lime juice.
  5. Serve and enjoy:
